Previously I shared information about the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) having fined Delta Airlines $2 million for violating rules protecting air travelers with disabilities. It was the largest civil penalty ever assessed against an airline by DOT in a non-safety-related case.  An investigation showed many violations of the requirements to provide assistance getting on and off airplanes and to respond to, and keep a record of, disability-related complaints.
