A new push in the area of prosthetic technology has certainly provided a variety of new devices to the market place as well as some incredible works in progress.  One such project is the SmartHand.  This prosthetic hand is a complex prosthesis with four motors and 40 sensors which combine to provide realistic motion and even sense to the wearer. Limbs of Love was founded by Joe Sansone, CEO of the Amputee and Prosthetic Center of Houston, Texas. They are a charitable organization whose mission is to provide prosthetic limbs to amputees that have lost a limb but do not have the resources to pay for a prosthetic device.
