Arkansas Health Resources
As a Nurse Life Care Planner, I often have to research various agencies to determine what resources exist when developing life plans for a catastrophically ill or injured patient. For the past few years I have been collecting resource links. For the last six months or so I have been sharing these resources with others in hopes of helping others locate this information in a convenient (and search-able) fashion. In this edition I have posted some great links that are specific to Arkansas. Check here for agencies and information regarding a variety of illnesses and conditions.
Arkansas’ statewide listing of services for older adults and people with disabilities is designed to help you locate resources that may assist you or a family member to continue living at home or in your community. Includes information on a variety of programs and services, including medical care and caregiver resources.
Alzheimer’s Association chapters provide information, programs and services, including support groups and educational workshops, to people with Alzheimer’s disease, their family members and caregivers. The Mid South Chapter serves 85 counties covering the majority of Tennessee and Northern Alabama as well as Crittenden, AR.
Information and resources about health insurance for infants, children and teens in Arkansas. Web site includes information on how to apply for health insurance for your child.
Indian Health Service’s Nashville Area office supports tribal governments and urban Indian communities in the development and administration of comprehensive health care delivery systems that meet the needs of Indian people in all states throughout the Eastern and Southern U.S.
