Vintage Medicine

These photos are part of a strange exhibit that actually focuses on eyes and prostheses. I was particularly drawn to these two photos. My now 19 year old daughter was forced to wear similar braces on her little legs for tibial torsion when she was a small child.

The photo on the right reminds me of some of my collection involving vintage medical supplies and products. Enjoy!

    The marvels of modern medicine.
Sometimes we have to know where we started to appreciate how far we've come.
Rather astonishing … and if I don't mind saying.. a tad scary.
    Heh heh
