A shoe-maker and a technology company are teaming up to develop footwear with a built-in GPS device that could help track down “wandering” seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease.

A great idea, but it requires the patient to always wear the GPS shoes. @hogcatch reminded us that the technology exists to implant a chip under the skin. The day is coming. It is a bit freaky, but I can see the usefulness. I just don’t think I want to be the one with the chip in my body.
