The nursing profession was added to the Gallup’s poll for Honesty and Ethics of professions in 1999. Since that time the nursing has been in the number one spot with the exception of 2001 after the attacks of 9/11 in which Firefighters topped the list. Eighty-four percent of Americans rank the ethics of nursing as high or very high.
This is an important statistic that all nurses should be proud of. It shows the trust consumers and other health care professionals put into each and every nurse.
