Attorneys Increasingly Asking Jurors About Prescription Use

12 September 2008 6 views No Comment

Attorneys are increasingly asking potential jurors about their use of prescription medications. The reasoning behind this line of questioning is twofold: In the first case, attorneys want to make sure that side effects associated with some medications will not interfere with the person’s ability to serve as a juror. Secondly, some want to use medications as a reason to excuse jurors who may be less than sympathetic to their case.  Julie Kay, Law.com  08/26/2008
