Nurse Owned Businesses: A Don’t Miss Opportunity

The National Nurses in Business Association (NNBA) hosts a two day conference each year. This year the conference has coupled with the University of Florida for even more exciting topics.  This conference is a must attend conference for nurses who are in business, those who have an idea for a business and want to get started, or for nurses looking at options for business away from the bedside.

If you don’t know Pat Bemis, President of the NNBA, you don’t know what you are missing.  Pat is a great mentor and always willing to help.  She will be heading up this conference located in sunny Orlando, Florida.  The two day conference is scheduled for August 18th and 19th (a weekend so you Mon-Fri folks won’t miss work time) and is currently $199; a value and one that won’t last long!  (Scheduled to return to the regular price of $299 on July 18th.)

At this conference, attendees will discover opportunities for self-employed Registered Nurses, sharpen business skills, and learn new ones, and gain valuable insights by networking with experienced nurse entrepreneurs.  I will be there as both a speaker and a round table moderator. My topic this year is all about promoting yourself.

The event will be held at the Embassy Suites Orlando on International Drive and Jamaican Court.  We have a fabulous group rate of only $99 per night.  The two room suites have in-room wet bar, microwave, and refrigerators which is perfect for families or cost savings for meals.  Speaking of cost savings the hot breakfast is complimentary as is the high speed internet.
