Is Self-Employment for you?

The NNBA Conference is right around the corner. A fellow presenter, Don Wood, provided this guest posting which I think you will find most interesting. I am looking forward to his presentation on writing e-books.

 

I’m Donald Wood, author of The Intelligent Nurse. Are you a nurse who has a business or wondering if self-employment is right for you?

If so, you need to attend the National Nurses in Business Association conference in Orlando. I am presenting how you can write an e-book and become a published author. My presentation covers:

• how being an author makes you the authority;
• sources of information to use in your book (you probably already have 3 of the 7 sources);
• how to format your book for Kindle, Nook, and iPad;
• ways to leverage your book into your business (think audio, print, and video).

The conference is worthwhile with just this one presentation; but there are other great speakers [including Victoria Powell!]. I made a video for Florida nurses and placed it on YouTube. The meeting location is right off of I-4 in Orlando and is easily within a 3-hour drive for 90% of Florida nurses. Your investment for this meeting will be minimal; the information that you take away will be priceless!

Come join Donald & I along with other great speakers and presenters and jump start your business.  As nurses, we are great at the nursing portion, but we don’t get that necessary business training necessary to become successful.  The National Nurses in Business Association is the place to get that business savvy spirit.  The networking is incredible.  My favorite part is the roundtable discussions where you can meet one on one with various experts to discuss problems or ideas, obtain resources, and get immediate feedback.
