Pain Medication Recall

ALERT!  A recall has been issued for three lots of hydrocodone from Mylan, Inc. Mylan Inc. has issued a recall of three lots of Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen Tablets. The company issued the recall after discovering that some of the tablets may exceed the weight requirement and potency listed on the label. If taken, the recalled products could cause liver toxicity. Pain doc faces his fifth malpractice lawsuit

An Iowa doctor (Dr. Daniel Baldi of Des Moines) has been hit with his fifth malpractice lawsuit, this one filed over the death of a local man last September from an oxycodone overdose. The lawsuit accuses the doctor of gross negligence, saying he did not access the man’s need for the narcotic before prescribing it and failed to set up a monitoring plan to prevent over-usage.
